hi everyone!

i'm not a pilot i'm a professional photographer who will be using my drone as a line item to offer clients.

i've been studying from all the FAA online resources but am having trouble finding specific map related study information. sample questions such as '(Refer to FAA-CT-8080-2G, Figure 21.) What airport is located approximately 47 (degrees) 40 (minutes) N latitude and 101 (degrees) 26 (minutes) W longitude?'

i have read the handbook and looked at the figure as stated but the maps are not to scale and i have no idea how i am supposed to calculate the position of the airport.

more importantly, other than knowing what symbols on the maps mean, such as landmarks, types of runways, airport has refueling options and lighting... how in a test environment is a non certified pilot supposed to calculate this information?

i'm using these to study, any observations, suggestions are appreciated. cheers, simon
