Olympus 14-42 - only photo mode works?

I bought this lens and it only seems to work in photo mode. Video mode is just black, nothing visible when on idle or recording.
Anyone else got this issue? Or did I buy the wrong lens?

You have the correct lens, did you try adjusting the exposure, aperture or iso? Maybe it is set to dark to see an image.

I did try adjusting settings. Works fine with photo mode but not for video. I'm now having issues with other lens and the same issue so it seems like it may be something else, connectors maybe. Will do more investigating.

Works fine for video, you must have a separate issue, especially if it is with other lenses, too.
