M30T DJI app login

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting an M30T but I've heard of other DJI drones being rendered useless after a certain time period if they don't re-login to the pilot app via the internet.
Does the DJI pilot 2 app require internet connection periodically to login so the drone will fly? I don't want to rely on DJIs blessing to fly once I buy and own the drone.

You do need to periodically login. For example, if you let the drone sit for 6 months, you'll have to log back in with an Internet connection.
After that, you don't need an Internet connection to fly. It certainly doesn't render them useless.
Part of the reason for this is so DJI can inform you of updates to the operating system and updated safe to fly areas.
