New to enterprise drones

Just wanted to drop a few lines to introduce myself and to seek any advice.

Have had a few drones and have finally decided to plunge into thermal drones. In process of getting Matrice 4T and will be taking my 107 soon too.

Previous drones: DJI Phantom 2, Phantom 3 pro, Mavic 1, air 2, mini 3 pro, Skydio R1 and Skydio S2.

Located in S. Bay Area, Ca.

Any advice on trainings, books, software and also any recommendations on places to fly for fun.

Looks like this forum isn’t as active as I had hoped. But it’s alright, good to know there are people out there doing good work with these drones.

I’ve been checking prices for Matrice 4 drones, and it’s crazy how volatile it’s been. Definitely glad I was able to grab few batteries before all price jumps.

If you plan on doing quality work with a thermal drone go get thermal certified

Hello Steve and welcome. Steve, I can only tell you what I have done and this is not a definitive solution. But what I did is got my part 107 by joining Pilot institute and going through their course. I got a 95 on my exam. I did the course and practice test a long the way. It is costly. I have to Matrice 4T and I will say this. It is a beast of a drone. All I wanted was the thermal and got much more. I didnt realize it could do night vision. But it can. Not like nods or anything but it will make night time viewing better. It also has range finding capabilities that is awesome. If you do mapping or geographical surveys its also great for that. I dont do any of that but I did purchase a rdtk-3 for future use. And like you I have 3 other drones that are great in their own regards. I also have the mini 4 Pro, Air 3s, and the Mavic 4 pro. I like my array of drones as they can all do different task. I hope you have fun and get done what you need to with your drones. As stated earlier, welcome and be safe.
