------------same issues with my droneI did this update this morning on my Pro. It all appeared to go fine. The text file said it was successful. The app however tells me I need to update the aircraft.
The About screen tells me I have the following:
App: 2.4.2
Aircraft: 1.4.00.10+
RC: 1.5.70
Camera: 1.2.0.50
Any thoughts on why the Firmware update would appear to be successful but the App would still give me a notice?
It looks like you upgraded your Inspire 1 Pro with the Inspire 1 (non-Pro) firmware. I'm not sure this is a good idea. After updating my Inspire 1 yesterday via my X3 to 1.5.0.30, I successfully carried out the Inspire 1 Pro update (1.2.0.50) via my X5 this afternoon. It took just 2:30 mins to update two sub-system which I assume is the X5 camera and gimbal.
The iOS app About dialog showed:
App 2.4.2
Aircraft 1.5.0.30
RC 1.5.70
Camera 1.2.0.50

DJI really needs to improve the quality of their software. This is just pathetic.
If you look at the App reported aircraft firmware version between the I1 Pro and my I1 (standard), the Pro is showing 1.4.0.10+ and the I1 1.5.0.30. Users with access to an X3 (ie. those who upgraded to X5) were able to use the 1.5.0.30 I1 firmware update issued yesterday. The + sign usually indicates that a non-standard or beta firmware version is installed and the app cannot read it. It could be that the latest battery firmware is not included.Huh. Anyone have suggestions on what S2king and I should do?
Using the I1 Pro firmware I have only updated my X5. None of the other aircraft sub-systems or batteries where affected. From experience with the formal and beta updates, I am content that only those sub-systems that are at an older version number will be updated. If I have any failures I know I can downgrade if necessary. It looks like you upgraded your Inspire 1 Pro with the Inspire 1 (non-Pro) firmware. I'm not sure this is a good idea.

you were referring to the first (non-Pro) aircraft update (first). And when you then said:After updating my Inspire 1 yesterday via my X3 to 1.5.0.30
you were referring to the camera update (second).I successfully carried out the Inspire 1 Pro update (1.2.0.50) via my X5
Correct. DJI Support on Facebook said yesterday that I1 Pro could be updated but only using the X3. I have a Inspire 1 (Std) with the X3 so I could do the aircraft and batteries yesterday (using 1.5.0.30) and used the I1 Pro firmware (1.2.0.50) with my X5 to get the X5 fixes. I agree that DJI need to get this X3/X5 update option sorted soon.Ah, wait a second; I have been focused on "Aircraft 1.5.0.30", and am only now noticing "Camera 1.2.0.50".
So here is what I think:
So when you said:
- The Inspire 1 (non-Pro) firmware update is called "Inspire 1 Firmware v1.5.0.30", and that version number refers to the aircraft firmware.
- The Inspire 1 Pro firmware update is called "Inspire 1 Pro Firmware v1.2.0.50", and that version numbers refers to the camera firmware.
you were referring to the first (non-Pro) aircraft update (first). And when you then said:
you were referring to the camera update (second).
Does that sound right?
I just got off the phone with support. They are telling me that to update my Inspire 1 Pro aircraft I have to download the Inspire 1 Firmware v.1.5.0.30 from the Inspire 1 page. The Firmware v 1.2.0.50 on the Inspire 1 Pro page only updates the camera apparently. This seems goofy to me. I restated to the guy what he was telling me. He assures me it's correct so I'm giving it a shot. I still can't quite believe that they've set this up to work this way.
I've had the card in for a couple of minutes now and it doesn't appear to be doing the update. Green light on the X5 and not making the typical noise.
What camera are you using?
Apparently, if you put the Inspire 1 (non-Pro) firmware on an X5, it won't update the aircraft, but if you put it on an X3, it will update the aircraft.
Reveal more.Ther is a Glitch in FW 1.2.0.50 - do not upgrade your X5 with this.
