ND Filters for the Matrice 4E - Anyone Heard Anything?

Hi everyone,

I've been searching high and low for ND filters compatible with the new Matrice 4E, but so far I've come up empty. I've checked DJI's official site, third-party manufacturers, resellers, and even combed through Google results and various forums without success.

There doesn't seem to be any official word or even rumors about upcoming ND filter options for this model. Given how essential ND filters are for controlling shutter speed during video capture and maintaining consistent motion blur and image quality in bright lighting, I find it surprising that nothing has surfaced yet.

Has anyone here heard anything, maybe through a DJI rep, distributor, or even insider chatter, about whether ND filters for the Matrice 4E are on the roadmap? Or perhaps someone has discovered a workaround or compatibility with filters from another model (seems unlikely)?

Would appreciate any info or leads!

I don't think there will be any. But I could be flat out wrong.
It is not a cinematography drone. It's a public safety, mapping and inspection drone.
It will also lack some of the other creative features found on DJI's consumer/prosumer drones.

Thanks, @jaja6009, I get your point about DJI’s positioning of the M4E as a non-cinematography platform.

That said, there are quite a few industrial use cases where smooth, properly exposed video is essential. In construction, for example, clients often request progress videos that serve both internal documentation and external marketing purposes. Without ND filters, I now need to bring a second drone just to meet those expectations, which complicates logistics unnecessarily.

This isn’t a new pattern from DJI, and while I understand some of the commercial rationale, it does feel like an artificial limitation. From a practical standpoint, there’s no technical reason why ND filters shouldn’t be available for this platform.

As of today, after searching high and low, there still is not an ND filter available.
It seems like DJI Enterprise drones always miss out on this.
Maybe in the future?

With everything that just happened between the US and DJI, even if DJI were to come out with ND filters for the M4E there's no way we'll get them in the US.
I've been keeping an eye out for a 3rd party vendor to hopefully make some, however,I have not found any as of yet.
For any "cinematic" shots my clients order, I have to switch to my Mini 4 Pro; it shoots in 4K100, opposed to 4K30 on the M4E, anyway.
Let us know if you find anything.

I don't believe the Matrice 4 series is even intended to have ND filters. This is not drone or cameras on it, for cinematic filming.
This is more of industrial drone. And there is no way to attach ND filter anyway.
