Maximum Bitrate in HD

Hi there, can anyone explain to me technically why there is a different in Bitrate between these two settings? I kind of understand as it half as many frames but would be good to know more.

On a related note, is it always best practice to shoot 4K for HD delivery or if you know its HD then shoot HD?

Max Bitrate of X5 in HD

40Mbps@1920x1080(59.94p)
25Mbps@1920x1080(29.97p)

I always shoot 4K regardless. It operates a faster bitrate (60mbps) than HD and it allows much more flexibility in post with regards cropping and composition.

Because dji set up the bitrate for what you are shooting in. They didn’t see the need to have a higher bitrate for shooting the FPS or the size ratio. I always shoot 4K. The only reason I see to shoot in the format you have listed is if you are shooting for like an hour or if you need the 60 FPS. Other than that shoot 4K . Especially at the slow bitrate that thing is capable of.
