on the video below at the end they talk about getting a license for Terra for free.

The 4 E is for 1 yr and the 4T is 3 months (EDIT: my bad, the 4T is 3 months not 30 months)

Wow that is very generous of them. Terra has really come a long way and integrates into the workflow really well.
I can't tell if he said 3 months for the 4T or 30 months.?

I use Agisoft Pro, but if they give me Terra for a year, I will put it through the ringer. I will most likely reprocess a large amount of older projects as well.

I am really excited about several of its features, but the Smart 3D capture looks really amazing. Generate a point cloud on site in 5 to 10 minutes. Then have a custom flight route with consistent GSD around the structure ensure proper overlap.

The Mavic 3 Enterprise series also had a free limited subscription to Terra, but I think this one is longer.

Steve,

When you activate the aircraft for the first time, you activate the 1 year free of Terra.

You will be sent an email with instructions on activation.

Some notes:

It is not a full version of Terra. You can only use images from a Matrice 4 series aircraft.

I had plans to process data sets I have from other drones. This will not work with this limited version of Terra.

From the email:

Notes

I License activation and device binding

  1. If you have purchased a DJI Matrice 4 Series product, your account will automatically receive a license for DJI Terra trial once you have activated the aircraft.
  2. Log in to DJI Terra with the same DJI account you use to log in to DJI Pilot. In the top right corner, click "User Center" > "Manage Licenses" and select the license to bind.
  3. You can view the license's name, validity period, and device binding status on the "Manage Licenses" page in DJI Terra.

II Important notes

  1. Only DJI Terra v4.4.0 or later versions support the DJI Terra trial you obtain by purchasing a DJI Matrice 4 Series product.
  2. To run the app, ensure the following system requirements are met: Windows 10 or later (64 bit) with 32 GB memory and a Nvidia graphics card (4 GB VRAM) with a compute capability of 6.1 or higher.
  3. This license can only be bound to one DJI account and used on one computer.
  4. This license can only support processing images captured by the DJI Matrice 4E.
  5. For descriptions and FAQs about DJI Terra, please visit DJI Terra - Make the World Your Digital Asset - DJI.
  6. You can submit one unbinding request within a calendar year. Go to DJI Support to submit an unbinding request.
  7. DJI Terra use a network authorization license and it requires a constant internet connection during usage.
  8. The validity period of the license has started. Please bind your license as soon as possible.

Hi jaja6009,

Have you tried 'adjusting' the metadata for the older photos you wanted to process? I would imagine the software can only determine what drone took the photo by reading the exif.

I haven't tried yet but I think it will only work with certain DJI drones. I do think it gets that info from the exif along with a lot of stuff.

I did download the Terra manual and have read part of it.

That is most likely true.

For me not that big of a deal. I will have datasets soon enough.
