Just received and installed in under 3 minutes to the bottom expansion port of my M4T.
It provides multiple LED lights in multiple colors (Red, blue, amber, green) and patterns, and a Piezo electric siren that can be heard when close to ground.
Why? If you are working Public Safety or SAR, it will absolutely differentiate you from civilian drones. It will also increase your VLOS to the drone in day and night ops! (My drone was spotted by USCG over 25 miles away across the Long Island Sound) The siren has many modes and is useful in alerting ground personnel of impending landing.
It attaches with two included screws and does not effect any of the M4T sensors. It also does not obstruct the M4T from fitting in to the carry case while installed for rapid deployment.
It only uses the lower expansion port for power, not communication with the controller. The device communicates with the RC plus 2 controller via Bluetooth and an additional app that runs a floating window over the DJI fly app that allows quick access to the light and siren controls. It does not interfere with DJI fly and puts the icon directly above the light and speaker icons and allows all 3 devices to operate seamlessly.
The instructions provided by JZ are in Chinese but the download link is understandable. The app default provides all options in English.
