That's very true but some NLE's like Edius will play nicely with it. It's such a great workflow that way.
I remember the days when AVCHD wouldn't scrub without stuttering all over the place and now even freebie toy editing programs will play it out straight from the timeline.

Absolutely, Premiere as well seems to like the XAVC just fine, just comes down to finding the best solution for your given setup. Avid is super finicky on pretty much all internal codecs, as it should be, it was never designed to edit stupid DJI X5 drone clips or H264s from a 5D... It was made for high-end TV and cinema production (which of course we are not doing!)

They're all spuds to DJI and equal quality at producing an image (or lack of it).
