Finally filming in 5k, is AE my only option for post?

Hi Jeb,

That is the same experience the other FCP users were reporting. Now that Resolve has this working very well with Native Cinema DNG files I would imagine we will see the competition do better in future releases. What is your end use for the 5.2K footage? If that is not critical, I can say with confidence that the Downsampled (5K to 4K) Resolve results look spectacular and you have ample room for straightening horizons and motion tracking when needed.

I use resolve for the mac (was only $500) via the App Store. The free one is just as good except you can't export 5.2k only uhd as stated previously and lose some ofx filters and the noise reduction. It's not a huge loss.

Nice HDR effect. I grew up in U City, so don't really recognize Clayton in HDR
We're you flying for a job in that area? I would imagine Clayton wouldn't be so "drone friendly".
