You'll find your T version an incredible workhorse.
It will map very well in both RGB and thermal.
Here is a link to this forum of 2 datasets from a Matrice 4T, one RGB and one thermal.
These outputs were flown while receiving corrections and the absolute accuracy is not too bad for a drone with a use case that is not survey grade mapping.
I was able to obtain some sample images from the new Matrice 4T in both RGB and Thermal. I processed them in Agisoft Metashape Pro.
Thanks to a forum member on the Commercial Pilots sister site for these images.
The outputs are in NAD83(2011) California State Plane Zone 5 and I used NAVD88 with Geoid 18.
The thermal images are in Super Hi-Res format. They do not work in DJI Thermal Analysis Tool so I cannot convert them into a tiff file to make a radiometric map.
The flight grid was single grid with altitude optimization enabled. I would of liked to see the Smart Oblique instead.
There...
The quality of the orthomap is good with good as the camera took good sharp images. I compared it to LiDAR data from the same area and it is within feet in terms of absolute accuracy. If I get a chance I will compare some areas in Cloud Compare to get some numbers on RMSE. But this is California and I will have to research the best way to do this with all of the plate movement in that area.
