I recently started flying and found that I loved it. Dug in deep and picked up my 107.

Now I have a Matrice 4T and I am trying to learn to map.

I really hope I can get some pointers here as I tend to dive head first into things I know nothing about.

At any rate. Howdy :)

Welcome!

You'll find your T version an incredible workhorse.

It will map very well in both RGB and thermal.
Here is a link to this forum of 2 datasets from a Matrice 4T, one RGB and one thermal.

These outputs were flown while receiving corrections and the absolute accuracy is not too bad for a drone with a use case that is not survey grade mapping.

The quality of the orthomap is good with good as the camera took good sharp images. I compared it to LiDAR data from the same area and it is within feet in terms of absolute accuracy. If I get a chance I will compare some areas in Cloud Compare to get some numbers on RMSE. But this is California and I will have to research the best way to do this with all of the plate movement in that area.
