Automated mission with spotlight

Tried an automated thermal night mission with my M4TD...it kept stopping "custom break point" etc because of the lack of light/issues with vision sensing. Has anybody successfully done a small automated area mission without a spotlight?...with a spotlight?

No, I have not tried any automated mission at night.
I am interested in others' answers though.

DJI states that the vision positioning and obstacle avoidance need at least urban type lighting (street lights).

Would turning off obstacle avoidance help in this situation? I know for safety it seems like a bad idea, but if it's truly that dark in the mission area, the obstacle avoidance will not work anyway.
