Automated mission with spotlight

No, I have not tried any automated mission at night.
I am interested in others' answers though.

DJI states that the vision positioning and obstacle avoidance need at least urban type lighting (street lights).

Would turning off obstacle avoidance help in this situation? I know for safety it seems like a bad idea, but if it's truly that dark in the mission area, the obstacle avoidance will not work anyway.

Jaja,

So this was a small commercial building with some lighting in the parking lot. There were some trees along the rear façade of the building, but the parameters were set up well above them. Turning off oa made no difference. I had flown the exact same auto mission during the day and needed to get the thermal at a certain time of night…. I ended up having to fly it manually instead because of the constant custom breakpoint and vision sensor issue.

That’s why I’m wondering if an attached spotlight would move the lighting needle enough to allow it to fly automatic……

Also, very interested in hearing others experience with it.
