4D Ground Landing

Anyone have experience using 4D as standalone without Dock? It doesn’t have legs and I’m wondering how stable it is on the ground.

If it is similar to the 3D/DT it will be fine. We had a demo from a vendor and it landed on the bare ground fine in a moderate wind.

If you buy this drone to use not in a dock, don't forget you will need a controller, batteries, battery charger and a case (DJI is making one and HPC probably will too).

Thanks. I'm looking at getting the RC 2 Enterprise Enhanced as it has module which apparently allows connection with future models.

I am wondering about this also. Looks like it would be much easier to tip over with its smaller leg base, if something went wrong.
Another thing I wonder about is impact shock. When landing a matrice 4d all landing impact shock will be localised to the main body (where all the fragile electronics are). When landing a matrice 4t for example, the main impact force is on the arms, with them acting as a shock absorber of sorts to the body.
Anybody have a matrice 3d that's over a year old with frequent use? Have any problems that could be associated with that come up for you?

I use a Matrice 3TD without dock for fawn rescue. Already the second season.
I have never had a problem. I often land it in my hand to make it go faster.

I do...I always use a landing pad but it does ok touching down ...I'd call it a wobble down but havent had any issues. Id prob use landing gear if I could find anything afetrmarket
