I know this does not apply to everyone and not all airports participate but for pilots out there looking for a way to skip the insane 90 day process you should look into this. I hope this helps.

I know that there are supposed to be some 3rd party applications out to make this process faster but unfortunately I haven't had to use one yet so I cannot tell you from experience. But look into Skyward. I am pretty sure you can get instant authorization.

Great advice! Yes, my dad is trying to become the "business owner" so it will be legal. Also, I thought about working for someone else, and I would love that! But at the moment I'm so far into this I'm not going to give up for now lol. If an opportunity presented itself I would be open to it!

So as far as that goes... if they purchase the insurance, will the insurance company still see me as the person insured? And if i go to do work for someone and need proof of insurance will i be able to show that "I" am insured?

So since I'm 16 will they let me buy insurance?
