    Maximum Bitrate in HD

I always shoot 4K regardless. It operates a faster bitrate (60mbps) than HD and it allows much more flexibility in post with regards cropping and composition.

    Advice on shooting at Night

Thanks for the reply Michael, sure, I have experience shooting much TV footage at night, just not drone wise. Unfortunately we would not have had the value of the 'golden' hour, or dawn light, as the task was going to be undertaken after 10pm! That was my biggest worry. But it's all academic as...

    Advice on shooting at Night

No probs, I would be flying for the pilot. I would be camera operating. It's all academic now anyway, as the client has pulled the job!

    Advice on shooting at Night

Ahh, that sounds like great news. I appreciate your help. To be honest, I'd prefer to go down that route and assemble the X5r to my Inspire 1v2 rather than bring in another aircraft. What would you say would be the maximum ISO available without seeing unreasonable noise?

    Advice on shooting at Night

Hiya, sure. The X5R option was our first thought, but after reading quite a few posts, the impression I get is that it's a dog's dinner when it comes to the workflow. I've also read that the low light ability is not that hot (which sounds rather odd) not to mention the size of the files. I find...

    Advice on shooting at Night

I normally shoot with the Inspire 1v2 with the X5 pro, however, it may be that we have a job in a week's time to cover material at night, and I mean night, in a city centre. I suggested shooting with the I2 X5S in ProRes. I have not used this format before, but the added dynamic range and lower...

X5 always slightly out of focus

    Glad you got it sorted.

X5 always slightly out of focus

Ryan, you need to be shooting with that Zuiko lens at about f4. I have found that to be the sweet spot. The other thing to remember is to set the lens at the infinity mark and not where the lens stops by turning the lens focus ring. A mistake many make. If you ensure these two things are in...

    Can't update Inspire X5

I've been going round in circles with this one. I've done regular updates over the past two years with the Inspire X3 and X5, but for some reason I can't update the I1 X5. It simply won't start updating on startup. Has anyone else experienced this?

Someone talk me out of returning my X5 Pro

You make a very good point about adding more glass in front of the lens Allan, but to be fair, providing it is a good filter, there shouldn't be a problem. But if it is of poor quality glass, then it could prove more troublesome than the issue you're trying to correct!

    Balancing X5 Gimbal

:D DJI crease me up. I love it when they add the word Pro to a product and assume it automatically makes it a professional product! I'm on my third camera, and now I see all this nonsense about sticking coins and weights to ensure the gimbal is correctly balanced. Bloody marvellous. Very...

    Silky Smooth Yaw

Thanks Ian, I'll try your settings and see how they compare.

    Silky Smooth Yaw

This is really very poor. I have been battling with it since day one. It's completely unacceptable. I could fly the X3, do the classic yaw with opposite bank while tracking around an object, increase throttle and at the same time use the wheel to accommodate the tilt. Now it's proving...

    X5 test footage

This is some test footage I shot this afternoon. All settings set at 'standard' ie 0,0,0. Manual exposure, auto WB. Small amount of levels and sharpness added in post. I am extremely happy at what I'm getting from this camera.
