X5R?

X5R was to be "by end of year". Only a week and a half left.

Any word?

For those who have used both X5 and X5R...is the difference worth the $$. Yes a subjective reply is fine. Thanks.

in terms of dynamic range, the raw is far better than the x5. at least a couple of stops and even bringing the darks the grain is nicer. I am very happy with the upgrade, just a far better looking robust file. the workflow is longer and more time consuming, but i have learnt to start and stop the video when i do takes rather than leaving the footage rolling the whole flight (like i did with the x).
but if you don't grade your footage and not look into the sun so much, then the x5 and its convinces like file size and lightweight (the x5r is very heavy, and you really notice this flying), then the x5 is a better option. cheaper to replace if you crash too!
