While the thermal version of the Matrice is a much better choice for public safety, the E version is no slouch.

I flew my personal drone along with our Matrice 300 RTK for overwatch of a concert last week and this drone was a valuable asset.

The Matrice:
  • Made a quick situational awareness map in Flight Hub 2 to give an as built background map of the venue
    • It made this map in almost realtime and all viewers in Flight Hub 2 could now see the complete venue along with all of our drones and associated live streams
  • Had the spotlight and speaker payloads installed and was useful in looking in total darkness
  • Had a drop device installed and carried a Restube (Self Inflating rescue tube) - Our concerts are held at the beach right next to the ocean
  • Used its Night Scene Mode (Not NIR Light, as it is only for the thermal version) and this worked very well as long as you were not moving
  • The zoom is only a notch below the Matrice 300 H20T payload
  • The large 4/3 CMOS sensor on this drone is excellent in low light
  • Created various panoramas, images and video and the quality of these were far superior to an Matrice 30T and Matrice 300 RTK with H20T payload.
  • It failed again when counting a large dense crowd, but always does well with people when they are more spread out
I could not be happier with how the drone performed. Our PD has a thermal version on order after seeing just how capable this drone is.

360 panorama link. Notice how well it did even at night

Very nice panorama, to make it clear did you used the M4 E or the M4 T to took the panorama?
About counting on screen shows always an different amount than using a software to count it, the finally accurate result was on the screen or by sotfware?

Yes, the Matrice 4 E took the panorama. Its 4/3 CMOS sensor performed very well in the low light areas, as well as the lit areas showing very good dynamic range.

The crowd counting was completed using the built in AI tool. It counts people well when spread out, but suffers when counting a dense crowd.
