power 14-42mm lens

I purchased the Panasonic Lumix 14-42mm lens for my zenmuse x5s, was unable turn get lens to zoom in or out.
can anyone recommend a 14-42mm or better that works with the zenmuse x5s and the djigo 4 app. thanks

The zoom function works on the pancake model of that lens.

Yes, like Joel said, make sure you get the Olympic Zuiko 14-42 EZ (Electronic Zoom) pancake version. It's not going to compare quality-wise to a prime lens but its versatility is hard to beat.
