Matrice 4 series Obstacle Sensing Module and Manifold 3

A good video showing the L01- Obstacle Sensing module (Radar and LiDAR) as well as the Manifold 3.

This video does a decent job showing the Obstacle Sensing module and an excellent job showing the Manifold 3.

I wish that these were combined into one unit. DJI always shows the Smart 3D Capture being conducted on a building that does not have trees and thin wires around it.
While the Manifold 3 will really speed up and enhance digital twin creation, digital twins with the touted super low GSD need you to fly close to the structure. When flying close to structures with trees and wires, the Obstacle Sensing module is a great safety add-on.

While these are great accessories for our drones, it hurts to have to choose one over the other. The use case really needs to have both in one unit.

Here is a video on the Manifold 3 showing a more in depth workflow.

He is a brave man with the Matrice 4 flying in so close to trees and wires! Its obstacle avoidance sensors seem to have worked pretty good for that complex environment. I would've liked the added insurance of the Obstacle Sensing module if that was my drone.
