Hello smandel, Not sure if I can help you, I would be glad though, but may I ask, what is the "new style props", could you perhaps show a picture? Sorry to be ignorant.

Here is a photo of the props with pins. The older style has screws in their place, the screws have been known to come loose.

Thanks! Mine have the screws, indeed I use loctite blue
