How to trigger drop mechanism

Is there a realatively simple method to trigger a drop mechanism for matrice other than the led light turning on/off?

This is a generic M200 series forum. Are you asking about an M200, M210 or M210RTK? The M210 and M210RTK will have more options available due to the expansion port on the rear of the aircraft.

Did this for the Inspire .. just stare at it for a few hours eating chips ., it will come to you DIY Drone Drop System for a Dollar

Great for the Inspire but the M200 has no retractable landing gear.

Yes!

We received a drop mechanism with our m210. It comes with a small cord that plugs into one of the connectors for the expansion port. You can actuate the mechanism through the pilot app.

Any servo can be connected and controlled via the I/O controls on the M210/M210RTK models. See the YT video showing the mammoth drop system or the other companies $499 light system where they control it via the app and show you the screen.
