For anyone still interested: A local DJI vendor tested this. Local mapping is only available when the drone is connected. It doesn't matter if the images are stored on the drone or the RC.

I don't know if any of this works though. A sample would be really generous. I would need any of the compatible routes, e. g. area route or smart oblique. Preferably with a building in it. No more than 400 images, the fewer the better. That would be great. I can't guarantee it will work though.
