I just bought the zenmuse x5 raw gimbal off of eBay, but there was a crack in one of the arms. I feel it is going to be something I can repair with some jb weld for now, but I have one question. It didn’t come with any lenses and I don’t have any to put on it at the moment, but is it okay to mount the gimbal to the inspire one and power it on with no lens attached, just to make sure the gimbal functions properly?

No - you cannot confirm correct functionality without a lens - the gimbal will not balance without the additional weight.

Yes, if you want to run the risk of damaging th gimbal motors. It will more likely flop around and hit the end stops violently.
