RC Plus Controller Compass Calibration

When I run the RC + controller without the Matrice M30 drone connected, the controller asks to calibrate the compass. When I connect the drone, this message disappears and if I check the settings, it says the 2 compasses are fine.
Can someone explain what's going on?
