I have a Matrice 4e and I am trying to map about 125 acres that is on a hillside with an elevation change from top to bottom of about 300' vertical 4300'-4600'. I am flying at 305' AGL 2.5cm/pixel and have it set to AGL altitude mode with real time follow. The RTH is set to 400' and the max altitude is set to 449, this is as high as I can set it. I started the drone at about the mid elevation 4450'. When it was about 15% through the flight it paused stating it was at max altitude.
Do I need to start the drone flight closer to the max elevation of the sight in order to complete the flight mission? I would think that where AGL terrain follow is selected it would allow it to complete the flight since it is always below the 449' max AGL. Or is there a better way to complete the flight? I can get to the higher elevation on this site, but others in the future may not be as easy.
Thanks for the help, I'm a newbie with drones.
