I've stopped using the D-Log mode. Had a bad experience where everything shot in that mode turned out out of focus and blurry. Can't even fix it in post! Unbelievable.

I can confirm. I have the same soft video look if I'm recording in 2.7k, D-Log mode. When I use NONE, it's as sharp as your photos. Give it a shot. Try to adjust the EV values to +1, +2

Thats a good question I would like to know too. I guess if you record your videos in D-Log or D-Cinelike we can match as close to the ground cameras.
