Yup, Elia's work is awesome. I hadn't realized he had to taken to the air until I saw that same article on ye ole Fstoppers. The BTS episodes for his landscape classes are a fun watch as well.

Definitely a valid point for sure. Pixel peeping/ spec speculating aside the real question is it going to be 4 times better than the X3 to justify the price? I guess we'll have to wait an see...

I think you're missing the point. Most people aren't exporting to 4k and if they are they would be using a higher end camera not the X5. They use 4k and edit it on a 1080p timeline to get maximum quality out of the file or are editing on a 4k timeline and exporting to 1080p. Some of the pros...

I'm not dissing the specs but I had to ask the question. Also agree about using the right tool for the job. It just seemed odd that there isn't option for over-cranking at any of the stated (or missing) resolutions. Love the existing inspire for where I'm at.

This may be a dumb question by why is 1080p left out of both cameras? The specs look insane especially for you pros out there either way.
