    USA Struggling For Work

I've started several multi-million dollar businesses in my lifetime, all of them successful. In my semi-retirement I started an art gallery / retail store / commercial photography / custom framing / leather work / laser cutting and engraving / and now, aerial photography business. These are all...

    Flying for Search And Rescue

If you volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol do you need a commercial rating? I suspect the answer is no.

Photo quality X3 cam vs X5?

DJI announcement: Zenmuse X5 and X5R

I'll admit I'm new to video but I know photographers spend 10s of thousands of dollars to get an extra stop of dynamic range. Even though I just got my Inspire 1 a couple of weeks ago I'll definitely be getting the Inspire Pro X5R. I like the idea of having a backup bird. Would I fly the pro...

USA What is a reasonable fee structure?

This discussion is the very same that wedding photographers have been having for 20 years. For every highly skilled professional wedding photographer out there, there are 50 "housewives with cameras". Now, nearly every family has a cousin with a decent camera. Why spend $3,500 on a real...
