    I wouldn't anticipate better quality components on the gimbals, design material selection errors have been prevalent since the Phantom 2 Vision series, the P3 gimbals share related issues and we go round the mulberry bush...

    the small nut that you removed or turned on the yaw axis motor has a small magnet at it's centre, this determines the neutral location for that axis, so disassemble the parts to get access to that nut and turn it the appropriate amount to correct the direction

    how new and purchased directly from DJI? If you've got flight logs which show you've never used it, or that it's never been crashed - you may have a defensible position for warranty repair, but that will consume valuable time getting that past DJI. Only conceivable reason I can tender for it...

    support the gimbal plenty with good absorbent foam underneath. Same had to be done with the Vision Plus in fight cases, plenty of those gimbals came out the other end of the carousel broken inside the hard Pelican style transport cases just from being thrown by the airline baggage handlers
