So I read last Fall that DJI is now authorized to provide LAANC authorization, but I can't find anything that says when this will be integrated into Go. Anyone have any info on that? I currently use Airmap for authorizations.

These are the first published PROPOSED regs. Think they're asking for comment now. Prolly wouldn't take effect for some time (not sure how long)

Haven't read the whole thing yet - but - 1) Flying over people. If you have a drone that weighs less than .55 pounds you're good to go. 2) Flying at night. If you have anti-collision lights that can be seen from 3 miles away, you're good to go. 3) Looks like won't have to take a test every...

Did you have to file with IACRA again? I passed my test the other day...didn't see a place on IACRA to file - the instructions say not to create another application

Hey check out this image - I focused farther away, ISO 400. Focus was on the numbers on the bottom of the doors in the center of the image. Looks pretty good - numbers are pretty sharp. This is raw as it came out of camera. http://www.dropmn.com/images/iso400_f4_far.dng

Thanks for the info...so I was looking for something I could ouput on my inkjet printer to test the focus...found this on a DJI forum - it's for calibrating the sensors but would work for a focus test. Thinking of setting it up about 20-30 feet from the camera. Then once from farther out - like...

Pretty much only photography - vids and stills. At $400 seems like it would be worth it. I saw it on B&H for like $1200

I see that's a 1.4 - Leica implies a very sharp lens, but I think you'd be paying a lot for the 1.4 - which prolly isn't useful at all on a drone.

You like the zoom? I bought a cheap Olympus zoom - very soft on the corners

I'd always heard that the DJI 15mm is a good lens...I bought the bird used and no calibration plate - I'll see if I can download. What do use use for the same field of view as the 15?

This is a raw image - just as it came off card - comes out to 40MB in DNG format. ISO 200, f4, 15mm lens. Drone was landed at the time. Focus was on the truck. http://www.dropmn.com/images/iso200_f4.DNG

No didn't try another one. I just did a test...I'll post the results. Would be nice if we had some common target to shoot at so we could compare notes.

Yeah - if I can avoid it I don't use ND filters. For stills, no problem. You're paying a lot for that lens - why put something in front of it :)
