Getting Safety Drone software, any suggestions?

Ok, so you are looking for logging .. I thought it might be another flight program. We have been using Airdata and have a Enterprise account. Been pretty happy with it so far. Keep us posted on Dronelogbook.

Getting Safety Drone software, any suggestions?

I have never heard of it, but the technology moves so fast I am not surprised.

    COA and CAPS

In order to get access you must fill out the application and get a Declaration Letter from what ever Public Entity you are applying access for. Once that is approved you will get access.

    Different ways for Public Safety

I am pretty much done with you. Your right I don't know, but your not required to file them where as COA Holders are. Ok if they aren't tracking you exactly how would they come inspect you, your all just a bunch of commercial drone pilots. No different than flying for a Real Estate company or...

    Different ways for Public Safety

You don't file NOTAMS for your flights or monthly Flight reports via the CAPS system so exactly how is the FAA tracking your agency? No I don't speak for the FAA but I just went through the process this month and spoke to the FAA at length about Public Agencies. Information goes stale very...

    Different ways for Public Safety

Well I guess we can agree to disagree. I too have talked to the same people you have at the FAA. Unless you have a COA and a Declaration Letter on file your Department is nobody to the FAA as stated in my previous post. Doesn't matter that the aircraft are registered to the Department or not...

    Different ways for Public Safety

Yes I still have to deal with the (D) NOTAM requirement, 24 to 72 hr requirement is unrealistic for our use. I have filed a couple for training flights, pretty painless.I just have to justify the exclusion of filing a NOTAM which is no big deal really. I still cant wrap my head around the...

    Different ways for Public Safety

Tony, you will find the group here a wealth of knowledge.. My program just got started as well. My PD went the COA route as thats what the Chief, Selectmen, and town Attorneys were comfortable with. The Town holds the certificate of Authorization for our pilots to work under. We have a Blanket...

    Different ways for Public Safety

We are really lucky, a blanket G is pretty simple on a COA. I am not sure why but our COA was approved in less than 24 hrs .. That has to be a FAA record !

    Different ways for Public Safety

20180127_114752 by Racer38 posted Jan 27, 2018 at 1:54 PMSo after lots of research and reading this is my take on the different ways to fly for Public Safety. Part 107 Pilots These are pilots that have a part 107 rating with the FAA. This is for an individual. This is probably the most...

Part 107 and Public Safety agenCies

This is amazing ! I hit the submit button on a Blanket COA for G Airspace yesterday. Today at 3:00 pm when I went in for shift I had an email with the approved COA pdf document attached ! It took me one week to compile all the needed documents and fill out the online application in the CAPS...

Part 107 and Public Safety agenCies

Thanks, just looking at it from a different perspective. Your organization has no standing with the FAA as each pilot is a Licensed Part 107 Pilot as an individual. So if you have a reportable accident and have to file with the FAA it will be on that PIC in regards to the FAA. If the FAA were to...

Part 107 and Public Safety agenCies

I have had quite a bit of interaction with Steve Pansky in regards to our letter of declaration. He was a great help getting it through the FAA Lawyers. We now have access to the CAPS system to submit our COA. Craig
