Hey man, the Olympus 14-42mm is a great one for inspections. I can't imagine you'd need the X5R over the X5 but sounds like your set on that. I think you'll find the zoom on the 14-42mm hugely beneficial for inspections. I've done an inspection with a 45mm Prime and it was not easy - would have...

The latest list of compatible lenses for the X5

I bodged mine with a coin and some tape when i first tried it but some 3m double sided tape would probably be neater. You can attach a £1 coin to the center of the back of the camera body. But If that's not heavy enough to balance it, i guess you'll have to find another way to improvise. Let me...

The latest list of compatible lenses for the X5

Worth testing. I did it before (but weight on the lens end) when the 45 was first supported and it was ok. As long as it's balanced, it shouldnt make much of a difference and the gimbal motors are pretty beefy so they can handle a lot. As they're brushless, you have no chance of burning them out...

    X5 frimware update, NEED HELP!

Strange that it's not taking the update. Format the card on your PC, then format it in the camera, then try drop the bin file on there? If no luck, try a different card? If still no luck, yes it will probably be worth downgrading then upgrading

Try the classic coin taped to the back of the camera body trick?

    New guy advice please

Only main things with flying the Inspire with X5 over the X3 is shorter flight time and not so agile.

X5 - best video settings for BBC

I'm sure they'll specify for you but my go to settings would be.. PAL 1920x1080 or 3820 x 2160 25p Colour profile: None or Cinelike-D Then obviously set white balance and exposure manually as usual

    X5 Camera not Panning

    1) Is this on a slave controller? If so, sounds simple but have you tried re-assignning the controls/stick inputs? 2) Another simple but maybe not obvious point (i didn't realize at first).. You should be able to scroll up and down to reveal more options on the C1 dropdown menu when assigning...

    x5 No Live Video Feed

Hi Rick, You cann reset your lightbridge system by holding down C1, C2 and the photo trigger button on your RC. While holding these down, turn off the RC then boot it back up. Release the buttons after 3 seconds of turning on your RC. Hope that helps, Phil

You can zoom remotely via the app. Its probably worth noting that it zooms in increments which makes the zoom seem jerky rather than a smooth zoom which isnt ideal for filming but great for inspections etc.

    *Micro four thirds sensor means it's a 2x crop factor (45mm = 90mm equivalent)

    UK UK Night Flying

There's no right or wrong way to word it. As long as you clearly convey how you will maintain safety during take off/flight/landing you'll be fine :)

    Zenmuse X5 for Professional Productions

I second what Richard said (cheers for that Richard:p)! It's an absolutely amazing lens for filming. Like Richard said, I can only imagine DJI say its only for photography because it takes a fair level of skill to get smooth cinematic shots. However, if you have a 2 man op, you can get some...
