Hello to everyone on this thread. I'm now looking into preparing my ops manual for night operations. A BBC satellite truck operator who has done his PfCO for news work mentioned to me the other day that it will cost £1500 for him to do his course with 'Heliguy' to obtain these night operations...

Just to add fuel to the fire, I was having a chat with someone I know who is not PfCO who is a former police officer and now a sports cameraman in his 70's told me that he did a paid drone job for an estate agent "it was a bit naughty of me but I was paid £300" It was if he felt he wanted to let...

Interesting video, Just an observation, were your neighbours notified and happy with the filming of the tutorial or is the law different in the US to the UK when you should keep minimum 50M away from property vehicles etc?

ps. I previously did a job at the same site last April with a very detailed risk assessment that bounced back a few times for tweaking, they did mention to another source since then that another UAV provider lost control of their drone and crashed into a crane. no one was injured.

I have seen this lens and from memory it does extend a little but it is not an issue as DJI have approved it.

On my !5mm standard lens I use a Revo Hoya PLwith AR that cost about £50 but worth the money, cheap ones can degrade the image with all sorts of issues. will get the Olympus 12mm soon.

Totally agree, we have all spent thousands, potential employers who expect work to be done FOC are being disrespectful to our hard earned licence. Pay the the going rate then a discount can be negotiated on future work volume.
