    USA ”Custom airspace” on AIRMAP?

You should get rid of AirMap. Not only do they provide inaccurate maps, they are also against having amateur and commercial small drone operators flying above 200ft. If you want to check airspace and any special restrictions, etc., you should reference skyvector.com or Foreflight or any other...

Blew my 2nd high pay film job! Please chime in.

Haven't read through this thread. Kinda got stuck on the "I am knocking it out of the park", kickin' butts and taking names on film sets followed by the explanation of using your finger to aim the camera, not getting the shot 7 times in a row and being replace by a jib. First of all, if you're...

Inspire 1 Pro X5R Past Firmware Files (Rollback from v1.11)

    Cool. Good to know.

Restart Mac for cinelight to see files

They will never fix this. If you have a method of making it work, stick with it. I never got Cinelight to read the SSD on my 5K iMac. My macbook does thankfully but only if the SSD is mounted before any other external drives and sometimes it still requires a reboot.

    45mm on x5r for video?

In order to use the 45mm, your Inspire needs to in good shape and even then there are limitations. This is the same with any longer lens on a drone. Any vibration is amplified that much more. Props, mounts, frame. There's not much you can do about the gimbal except balance it perfectly. There...

Inspire 1 Pro X5R Past Firmware Files (Rollback from v1.11)

There is a thread on rcgroups.com where they may be able to help you. Search for "DJI Dashboard" and you should find it. They've been able to rollback firmwares on newer platforms. That doesn't include the Inspire 1 but some of the methods may be similar if not the same. Coincidentally, now...

    X5R Workflow Notes

@damoncooper, are you still in touch your guy at Adobe? I have a question for him about CinemaDNG and ACR.

    Adding Polarizer to ND Filter

This is pretty much the only scenario where a polarizer will do more good than harm!

    X5R Workflow Notes

RAW means RAW. As in each RAW frame is taken from the sensor and placed into a storage system one by one. As for AVI, it's a bit long in the tooth as far as video file formats go. CinemaDNG is an Adobe-led open standard for recording RAW video.

    USA flying over people

First I've ever heard of a 400ft bubble for amateur use. I don't advise anyone fly over people but I don't think there is anything defined in section 336 on it. And for the 107 waiver for operating directly over non-participants, you need to have a pretty special setup to get it. I think there...

    Market Value for X5R

X5S has more options and improved image quality but the X5R is certainly no slouch. You have to spend time on your workflow to make the most of it but if you do, the quality is exceptional.

Inspire 5R question about SSD and clients

I am selling one with a reader that is slightly less than criminal (5 is too many): DJI Zenmuse X5R 512GB SSD and Reader

Inspire 5R question about SSD and clients

Have your client bring you two drives of suitable size and speed to the location. If you have a busy schedule, you will need someone dedicated to the task of dumping mags in Cinelight (e.g. a DIT) while you fly. I find the process is 1:1 in terms of time (e.g. every minute of recording takes a...

Does d log and d cin effect raw footage ?

There's no way there is enough processing power onboard the X5R to manipulate RAW images in real time. RAW is exactly that. Untouched, directly from the sensor.

Please compare X5R MicroSD H264 recording to X5

I haven't done any side by side comparisons but I have not noticed any difference between X5 and X5R proxies. Note that I've been avoiding D-LOG ever since FW 1.6 when they broke it.
