It depends which firmware you have, but generally speaking you want minimal sharpness - as this can cause aliasing/moire when broadcast on TV.

Just want to see what the general consensus is regarding which firmware gives the best results in D-LOG mode (if any!)... thoughts?

Some firmware versions have terrible noise issues with D-Log. Test it first to see if that is the case with yours. If it is for a news broadcast, check if they will colour grade the footage or not. Always have sharpness at -3. If they will colour grade, then -3 for the other values too. Use...

Update: DJI claim that the crash was due to extremely low voltage and therefore pilot error. I have sent the X5 to them today for repair, so we shall see what happens next. I'll probably start another thread about low voltage issues as it is slightly off-topic here.

Just had this happen to our X5, after a very small crash landing (which was a drone malfunction rather than pilot error). Very worrying how easy the gimbal broke and definitely not living up to the "built to last" claim on the DJI site. First email was sent to DJI today and I will update here...
