Quick update. I ended up getting a slightly newer Asus laptop, the TUF Gaming A16, AMD Ryzen 12 core, 32GB ram, and an Nvidia 4070 with 8GB video ram. I processed a 46.7 acre survey 2D model in about 20 min (1140 images) and a 3D model in 45 min.

I was able to activate my 12 months DJI Terra. I received an email with the activation. The instructions are kind of clunky. You need to sign into DJI Terra with the same DJI ID your drone is bound to. Once I did that it activated for me with no issues.
