    Warning to all X5 owners

Your lucky they helped you out. I have one being sent to me with the broken yaw mount and they said no more repairs to the owner.

Is the X5R using a newer "A9 Plus" SOC?

Some variation or change to the flashing of the chipset. Likely clocking.

Is the X5R using a newer "A9 Plus" SOC?

Neither of those is used in the x5... I tore one apart for referencing a couple months back. Still got the boards in electrostatic bags. Its an A9-A1-RH A9S75

X5 DOWN! Gimbal repair?! Only slightly bump!! Camara is untouched!

I wish they made that yaw motor housing a little thicker. There is very little material in there, and the motor ribbon cable runs up through one side of it. Its actually barely held together.

Does the X5R use standard 2.5" SSDs?

Yep, lets crack it....:) PS: It has been confirmed to use only a DJI SSD.

Does the X5R use standard 2.5" SSDs?

I object....You are taking his response out of context and being argumentative. The question specifically questioned the validity of the listed ssd. Hence the showcased accessory and it being listed as one for the x5r. This being said, it looks too wide, but I have not had the x5r in hand to...

Does the X5R use standard 2.5" SSDs?

That is what it says, can you read? I understand some cant read well..... Look under the questions at the bottom of the x5r page. Yes it is more than likely incorrect but one of B&H "Staff" is saying that drive is compatible.

Does the X5R use standard 2.5" SSDs?

According to B&H photo..... Is there an SSD drive included in this package? Why in "Showcased Accessories" a Crucial MX200 SSD shown as a "required item" for this camera? It doesn't look like it will even fit into the recorder. Eugene C on Nov 16, 2015 BEST ANSWER: The SSD is not included...

Does the X5R use standard 2.5" SSDs?

I would like to include myself with this, I have 2 Flashforge Pro's ready to print.... This is unbelievable price gouging. I would not be surprised if DJI implemented some protective firmware to make sure only their SSD will work.

Does the X5R use standard 2.5" SSDs?

I think the internals and pin out are the same as the Samsung unit.... 3d printed case could be the answer for cheap spares if DJI price gouges. This one looks possible to adapt. Microsata 256gb ssd for DELL XT2 Fujitsu p1630 IBM X300 X301 Hard Disk Drive HDD

New X5 came with a Crack

Its a very common crack and it really doesnt effect anything other than cosmetic. Most will end up cracking there eventually.

Does the X5R use standard 2.5" SSDs?

Lets hope they figured out to go with a dedicated processor that has its own video out channel instead of tapping in the data stream causing clocking rate issues. It cant cost more than a couple dollars more for the correct processor, I looked them up but never checked price point. They have...

Does the X5R use standard 2.5" SSDs?

Dji website says thats what it is... But we will see.

    Pulled the trigger on X5R

It will be fine if they dont tap into the feed to write to the sd and use the correct processor. They will need to write to the SD after recording, and they will need to use the one step higher processor with its dedicated video out channel. If they tap the feed again with the same clock speed...
