    It is a 4 stop nd, there are not 4 stops to choose from, just the one 4 stop drop. Yes you can have it in or out from the remote

    a 200+Mbps image is ALWAYS going to look better than a 100Mbps image. the "Mud" in the shadows is compression its why you do shoot in ProRes.

    For the record I hate black magic cameras they are utter garbage. FCPX will natively read a 5.2K image shot in 422HQ ProRes and I believe it will Do the cineraw form the X5S. FCPX has been so optimized for the Mac that's new MacBook Pro has no issue with anything you throw at it camera file wise

    Yes and Yes. The I2 and X5S is optimized for a professional workflow

    That washer on the front element will cause distortion due to refraction and you will lose 1/2 to 2/3rds of a stop.
